Since opting to work part time at the day job in 2006 (and more recently no longer being employed), I've had more time to concentrate on my photography.I have also had photographs accepted in a large number of international exhibitions (earning me the AFIAP). I've had a number of solo exhibitions in various Lancashire locations, including Steward's Gallery at Clitheroe Castle and the Ace Centre in Nelson. Prom, Prom, Prom was the first collaborative project that I have been involved in - exhibited first at the Dukes in Lancaster in 2015, then an expanded version was exhibited at the Sunnyhurst Woods VIsitor Centre, Darwen in 2016. A second joint exhibition with Johnny Bean and R Simon Dalton was held at Carnforth Station Visitor Centre early in 2017 and a joint exhibitions with my wife Lin at Edge at Overton and Inspire Gifts and Gallery, Lancaster. Our house move to Heysham in 2014 means that seascapes now feature much more in my photography - and also I've set myself the task of photographing the Lune from sea to source - view my progress so far. I've been taking photographs since the early 1960s, started to dabble with digital images and established my first website in the mid 1990s (a photographic journey along the River Ribble from its source to the sea). It was in the 90s that I re-joined Darwen Camera Club and also began to visit other clubs to talk and judge. Since our move to Heysham I have joined Morecambe Camerea Club and become involved in Morecambe Artist Colony. |
