The 5 mile walk out of Keswick starts along the Railway Footpath, but then it’s along roads until the stunning Castlerigg Stone Circle is reached. The return to Keswick is along footpaths, through fields and woods and finishes by the lake. Two car parks are suggested : one near the start of the walk and the other at the end. Rather than suggest a route through Keswick, I’ve left it to the reader to explore the streets of this attractive town for themselves. Free web version Kindle version |

Johnny , Simon & I have joined together again to give these photographs another outing - but as the exhibition space is larger than the Dukes, we have added some new/different image. Sadly this could well be the last exhibition in this venue, as it is due to cloe at the end of 2016.
When we're working as volunteers in the Heritage Centre, there always requests for postcards depicting the village. Hopefully there will be as many requests this year - now that we have had a multiview jumbo card printed with 4 of my images. I wonder if we'll sell any when we do our first shift of the year this afternoon?

Whilst staying in Keswick during October we walked up Latrigg from the other direction than we had before - what a great little hill - fantastic views. The Kindle book has been re-written to follow this latest walk. Both old and new are available from the Northern Rambles website.
